Nov. 12, 2007 (Phoenix, AZ) – Mark Tarbell, owner of Tarbell’s restaurant in Phoenix, presented Fresh Start Women’s Foundation with a check for over $8,000 that he and his team raised at a viewing party for the Iron Chef America competition where the Tarbell’s team came out on top.
The Tarbell’s team competed on Iron Chef America against Cat Cora almost a year prior to it being aired on Sept. 16, 2007. They were contractually forbidden to tell anyone details of the show, but when it finally aired on television, Tarbell hosted a viewing party for charity that raised money for Fresh Start, Home Base Youth Services and Phoenix Sun’s Charities.
“We are just so happy for Mark’s success and it is so wonderful that he used this success in a positive way for good causes in his community,” said Barbara Ralston, Fresh Start’s interim CEO, “Fresh Start is so grateful for his support.”
