About the Speaker

Pamela Slim
Through her 15 years of training, teaching and coaching martial arts, Pam Slim learned the value of a taking a step-by-step approach to building up skill and strength. This is the same approach that she has taken to develop her own business and offers to those hoping to follow in similar entrepreneurial footsteps.
After quitting her job 15 years ago as manager of training and development at a major investment firm, Pam became an outside contractor for Hewlett-Packard and fell in love with working for herself. From there, she moved on to build her own consulting business, naming it “Ganas,” or a Spanish term for “inner motivation and drive.” As CEO of Ganas Consulting, LLC, Pam has worked with such corporate clients as Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard and Charles Schwab. Projects range from coaching managers and executive teams through major organizational change to preparing implementation plans for large-scale global technology changes affecting 50,000 employees. Her specialties include change management, marketing, career development and branding.
Pam’s book, Escape from Cubicle Nation: From Corporate Prisoner to Thriving Entrepreneur, has won numerous awards, and she has coached and trained thousands of new entrepreneurs through the book’s corresponding online community. In addition, Pam has been quoted in such leading publications as BusinessWeek, The New York Times and Psychology Today.
Pam is certified as a master life coach with Martha Beck, Inc.
