Pam Overton

Pam Overton is an extra-ordinary leader who has championed the work of Fresh Start since the beginning. As one of our founding Charter Board Members, it was Pam Overton who stepped up to co-chair our first Fashion Gala with Fresh Start co-founder Pat Petznick. That first event set the tone for black-tie fashion shows in the Valley.

Over the years, Pam has demonstrated her leadership in this community in many ways - never forgetting her commitment to Fresh Start. As one of the preeminent corporate litigation attorneys in the state, Pam uses her leadership at Greenberg Traurig, a high-profile national law firm, to mentor younger women attorneys and to continue to support Fresh Start. Pam's personal and corporate contributions have been consistent and impressive. And, for the last few years, Greenberg Traurig has been one of Fresh Start's major sponsors.

Pam is recognized socially as a leader too. Regardless of the number of nonprofits that demand her time, Pam has always made time for the work of Fresh Start and the Jewell McFarland Lewis Fresh Start Women's Resource Center. Pam has served on the Executive Committee of the Board for a number of terms and has proven a valuable contributor. Again in 2005, Pam returned to the Gala as co-chair with Jacki Tatman to help lay the groundwork for Fresh Start's first million dollar Gala the following year.

As Pam said in one of her quotes, "Fresh Start is my passion." That passion has been demonstrated over and over again. Fresh Start Women's Foundation is so fortunate to have been blessed with someone like Pam Overton to serve on the board, to become a major donor and to be such a committed supporter.
