Fresh Start Women’s Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women help themselves. We do that through the work of the Jewell McFarland Lewis-Fresh Start Women’s Resource Center.


Whether you are adjusting to a career change, concerned about financial security, coping with difficult family relationships, or simply seeking opportunities for personal growth, Fresh Start is here to support you on your journey.

Fresh Start 101

Make the most of your Fresh Start experience by attending our general orientation. Our friendly staff will provide an overview of our programs and services and describe how to access and best utilize each of them. Any woman new to Fresh Start is encouraged to attend Fresh Start 101. Individual sessions with an Empowerment Specialist are available on a first-come, first-served basis following orientation. Free of charge. No pre-registration required. If this will be your first visit to the Center, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete new client registration paperwork. If you have children new to Child Watch, additional time will be needed to register your children.  No late arrivals will be admitted.

Mornings: Monday-Friday, 9:30 to 10:30 am

Afternoons: Monday-Friday, 2 to 3 pm

Evenings: Monday-Thursday,  5 to 5:30 pm

Weekends: Saturdays, 9:30 to 10:30 am

Career Fair

This event will help connect with a multitude of job opportunities from around the Valley.  If you are seeking employment, looking for a career change, or searching for future options, join us to meet several of the Valley's top employers representing a variety of positions, professions and industries.  Bring copies of your resume and dress to impress, as professional appearance is required. 

This event is free and does not require pre-registration


JOB FAIR TIPS:


Be sure to prepare an updated and professional resume that you can provide to employers
- Attend a Resume Writing Workshop - 1st & 3rd Thursday 10-12
- Meet with one of our professional Career Coaches

Dress in professional attire 
-  Attend Professional Wardrobing Services - Every Tuesday from 9:30 to 12 and 1 to 4 (Services are provided on a first come, first served, walk-in basis)

Create a list of employers you wish to speak with
 - Check back next month for a full list of employers

Develop a 30 second introduction so you are prepared to speak with any employer
- Come to Career Encouragement Group to get help with you 30 second introduction -
2nd and 4th Thursday 10-11:30
